Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1998474 Size: LH
  1. Disconnect the battery.
  2. Remove the battery shield.
    3. • Remove the bolt (3).
    • Remove the 2 shields (1) from the battery carrier.

    Object Number: 1941092 Size: SH
  3. Remove the battery holder (1).

    4. Remove the bolt.

  4. Remove the battery.

    5. Object Number: 1936907 Size: SH
  5. Remove battery carrier.
    6. • Disconnect the 2 cable ties (1).
    • Remove the 3 bolts (2).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the battery carrier.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the 3 bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  2. Install the 2 cable ties.
  3. Insert the battery.
  4. Install the battery shield.

    5. Install the 2 shield, battery carrier.

    Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the battery holder.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  6. Connect the battery.
    7. • Connect the positive cable.
    • Connect the ground cable.
