Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1945815 Size: SH
  1. Remove the ignition module. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement .
  2. Detach the engine management wiring harness from the intake manifold, cylinder head cover.
    3. • Disconnect the wiring harness (1) from the bracket.
    • Disconnect the wiring trough (2).

  3. Remove the engine venting pipe (1).
    4. • Disconnect the wiring trough (2) from the cylinder head cover.
    • Disconnect the 2 quick-release fittings.

  4. Remove the camshaft cover (1).

    5. Remove the 11 bolts (2).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the camshaft cover.

    2. Insert new gasket in the cylinder head cover.

    Tighten
    Tighten the 11 bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  2. Install the engine venting pipe.

    3. Connect the 2 quick-release fittings.

  3. Attach the engine management wiring harness to the intake manifold.
    4. • Connect the wiring trough.
    • Clip the wiring harness into the guide.
  4. Install the ignition module. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement .
