For 1990-2009 cars only
- Clean the sealing surfaces.
- Apply approximately a 3.5 mm thick bead of oil pan sealant to the joints (arrows).
- Apply approximately a 3.5 mm thick bead of oil pan sealant (1) to the oil pan.
- Install the oil pan.
- Install the oil pan bolts.
Important: The assembly time, including torque check, must take no longer than 10 minutes.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the 13 bolts on the cylinder block to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
