Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement Sedan

Caution: Refer to Express Down Feature Caution in the Preface section.




1. Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
2. Remove the water vapor barrier.

•	Release the 2 loom of cables clips.

•	Remove the 2 front door retainer base inner paneling (1).




3. Lower the window.
4. Remove the belt inner sealing strip.

Pull the sealing strip carefully from behind beginning at the top.




5. Remove the belt outer sealing strip.

Remove the sealing strip carefully from behind beginning from the top and take out from the rearview mirror backwards.




6. Drill out the rear window channel.

Drill out the 2 rivets.

7. Remove the window channel.



8. Remove the front door window.

Remove the 2 bolts (2).

Important: Lower the window to the lowest position and remove from the weatherstrip channel (3).

9. Remove the window.



10. Remove the window weatherstrip channel.

Important: Ensure that the window guide is correctly seated.

1. Install the window weatherstrip channel.
2. Positioning the front door window.

Position in weatherstrip channel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

3. Install the front door window.

Tighten
Tighten the 2 bolts to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

Important: Observe the installation direction.

4. Install the rear front door window channel.

•	Install the 2 rivets.

•	Position in the lower window channel.

5. Install the belt outer sealing strip.
6. Install the belt inner sealing strip.

Important: Damaged water vapor barrier must be replaced.

7. Install the water vapor barrier.

•	Apply the adhesive tape to door frame according to the shaded areas shown.

•	Cut the foil to size.

•	Provide the cut-outs for inside handle with bearing supports and, if available, manual window actuation.

•	Install the water vapor barrier without creases.

•	Install the 2 loom of cables.

•	Install the 2 front door retainer base inner paneling.

8. Install the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
9. Close the window.

Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement Coupe

Caution: Refer to Express Down Feature Caution in the Preface section.

1. Lower the window.
2. Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .



3. Partly loosen the water vapor barrier.

•	Remove the 2 holding angles.

•	Remove the 2 pins.





Important: Remove the window channel weatherstrip from inside with the appropriate tool.

4. Remove the outer channel weatherstrip.

•	Remove the window channel weatherstrip from the rear window frame bracket.

•	Remove the fastening clip from the outer window frames.




5. Remove the rear window channel rail.

Drill out the 2 blind rivets.

6. Take out rear window channel.

Important: Guide the window so in position that the fastening bolts align with the top mounting holes.

7. Loosen the front door window.

•	Remove the 2 bolts.

•	Remove the window regulator from its guide.

Important: Lower the window downward and simultaneously tilt the window forwards.

8. Remove the front door window.

•	Remove the window from the window regulator guide.

•	Remove the window upwards.




9. Remove the window guide.

1. Install the window guide.

Important: Gently raise the window upward and simultaneously tilt the window forwards.

2. Install front door window weatherstrip.

•	Position the window downwards.

•	Install the window in the window regulator guide.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Important: Guide the window in position so that the fastening bolts align with the mounting holes.

3. Install the front door window.

Tighten
Tighten the 2 bolts to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

4. Install the window regulator arm in the window guide.
5. Position the rear window channel.
6. Install the rear window channel.

Rivet on the 2 rivets.

7. Install the outer channel weatherstrip.

•	Install the fastening clip on the outer window frame.

•	Install the window channel weathterstrip in the window channel bracket.

•	Press the window channel weatherstrip onto the door folding.

8. Install the water vapor barrier.

•	Install the 2 holding angles.

•	Install the 2 pins.

9. Install the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
10. Close the window.
