Front Side Door Check Link Replacement for Saturn Astra 2008

Front Side Door Check Link Replacement Sedan

1. Remove the front door side panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .



2. Partially loosen the water vapor barrier (1).

Remove the 2 clips (2).




3. Remove the check link (2).

•	Remove the bolt (1).

•	Remove the 2 nuts (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

1. Install check link.

Tighten

•	Tighten the 2 nuts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

•	Tighten the bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

2. Install the water vapor barrier.

Install the 4 clips.

3. Install the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement

Front Side Door Check Link Replacement Coupe

1. Remove the front side door check link from the A-pillar.

Remove the bolt (1).

2. Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .



3. Partially loosen the water vapor barrier (1).

•	Remove the external mirror wiring harness.

•	Remove the 2 cable brackets (2).




4. Remove the check link.

Remove the 2 nuts (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

1. Install the check link.

Tighten
Tighten the 2 nuts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

2. Install the water vapor barrier.

•	Install the external mirror wiring harness.

•	Replace the 2 cable brackets.

3. Install the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
4. Install the check link to the A-pillar.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
