Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement for Saturn Astra 2008

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 1943848 Size: LF
  2. Remove the rubber check link seal.
  3. Partially loosen the water vapor barrier (right).

    4. Object Number: 1943763 Size: LF
  4. Remove the check link (2).
    5. • Remove the bolt (1).
    • Remove the 2 nuts (3).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the check link.

    2. Tighten

        • Tighten the bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
        • Tighten the 2 nuts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
  2. Install the water vapor barrier.
  3. Install the rubber check link seal.
  4. Install the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
