If the tire pressure sensor learn mode has not been completed, the tire pressure monitor indicator icon on the instrument panel cluster (IPC) will flash for 1 minute and then remain illuminated after the ignition switch is cycled ON and the IPC bulb check is complete. Under these circumstances, DTC C0558 will be set.
The ignition ON.
The tire pressure monitor receiver has not completed the tire pressure sensor learn process.
The tire pressure monitor indicator icon on the instrument panel cluster (IPC) will flash for 1 minute and then remain illuminated after the ignition switch is cycled ON and the IPC bulb check is complete.
A current DTC will clear when the tire pressure indicator receiver has undergone the tire pressure sensor learn process and 1 ignition cycle has occurred.
A newly replaced tire pressure indicator receiver does not set DTC C0558 on its initial ignition ON cycle. The vehicle will need to be driven above 32 km/h (20 mph) for over 10 minutes so that the tire pressure sensor learn process can be completed for the system to function correctly.

Verify that the DTC C0558 is not set.
⇒ | If the DTC is set, perform the Tire Pressure Sensor Learn procedure. Verify the scan tool Learn Status data parameter changes from In Progress to Completed. If the Learn Status does not change or the DTC resets, with a scan tool, perform the Reset ECU and replace the tire pressure indicator receiver. |
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
