Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the battery.
  2. Disconnect the negative cable.
  3. Disconnect the positive cable.

    4. Object Number: 1941092 Size: SH
  4. Remove the battery holder (1).

    5. Remove the bolt.

  5. Remove the battery.

    6. Object Number: 1938688 Size: LF

    Note: The water circulation system remains closed.

  6. Remove the surge tank from the bracket.

    7. Remove the tank in the direction of travel (arrow) from the bracket.

  7. Disconnect the wiring harness plug.

    8. Object Number: 1938689 Size: LH
  8. Remove the coolant level indicator.

    9. Disconnect the lug (1).

Installation Procedure
  1. Insert the coolant level indicator.

    2. Connect the lug.

  2. Connect the wiring harness plug.
  3. Insert the surge tank into the bracket.
  4. Insert the battery.

    5. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  5. Install the battery holder.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  6. Connect the battery.
    7. • Connect the positive cable.
    • Connect the negative cable.
