KM-498-B Oil Pressure Gage

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools.

1. Open the hood.



2. Unscrew the closure bolt (1).
3. Clean the thread.

1. Attach KM-498-B gage  (2) in combination with KM-232 (1).
2. Start the engine.
3. Oil Pressure, Check

At idling speed, the oil pressure must be at least 130 kPa (1.3 bar) and the oil temperature must be >=80°C.

1. Switch off the engine.
2. Detach KM-498-B gage together with KM-232.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

3. Install new closure bolt in the cylinder head and tighten to 15 N·m.
4. Check the engine oil level.
5. Close the hood.
