KM-6009 Remover/Installer

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools.


    Object Number: 1945817 Size: SH
  1. Insert a NEW gasket in the camshaft head cover.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the camshaft cover (1) and bolts (2). Tighten the 11 bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

    3. Object Number: 1945777 Size: SH
  3. Install the engine venting pipe (1).
  4. Connect the 2 quick-release fittings.

    5. Object Number: 1945815 Size: SH
  5. Attach the engine management wiring harness to the intake manifold.
    6. • Connect the wiring trough (2).
    • Clip the wiring harness (1) into the guide.
  6. Install the ignition module.

    7. Object Number: 1937989 Size: SH

    Note: When installing a new DIS ignition module, it is not necessary to replace the gaskets.

  7. Replace the gaskets (2).

    8. Object Number: 1936914 Size: SH
  8. Using the KM-6009 remover/installer  (1), install the DIS ignition module.
  9. Install the 2 bolts. Tighten the bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
  10. Fit the DIS ignition module cover.

    11. Object Number: 1937023 Size: SH
  11. Connect the DIS ignition module wiring harness plug (2).
  12. Clip the engine wiring trough (1) to the cylinder head.
