Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1936581  Size: SH
  1. Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement.
  2. Raise the vehicle by its full height.
  3. Place a drip pan underneath.
  4. Drain the coolant.
  5. • Place a drip pan underneath.
    • Install the suitable hose to the drain port.
    • Open the coolant drain screw (1).
    • Drain the coolant.
    • Close the coolant drain screw.
  6. Place a drip pan underneath.
  7. Lower the vehicle by its full height.

  9. Remove the coolant pipe (1) from the thermostat housing.
  10. • Remove the 2 bolts (2).
    • Push the coolant pipe into the oil filter adapter.

  11. Remove the coolant pipe (1) from the coolant pump.
  12. • Remove the 2 bolts (2).
    • Push the coolant pipe into the oil filter adapter.

  13. Remove the oil filter adapter (3).
  14. • Release the coolant pipe (1) and push into the oil filter adapter.
    • Remove the bolt (2).
    • Remove the 4 bolts (4).

Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the sealing surface.
  2. Note: Be careful of the wiring harness bracket.

  3. Install the oil filter adapter.
  4. • Use 2 new gaskets.
    • Install the 4 bolts.
    • Push the coolant pipe into the oil pump module.

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

    • Install the bolt.

    Tighten
    Tighten the 5 bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

    • Install the coolant pipe to the coolant pump.

    Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

    Note: Coat seal rings with silicone grease (white).

  5. Install the thermostat housing coolant pipe to the oil filter adapter.
  6. Use 2 new gaskets.

    Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  7. Clean the sealing surface.
  8. Install the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement.
  9. Inspect and correct the engine oil level.
  10. Close the hood.
