Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.

    Note: Waiting time for airbag deactivation, 1 minute.

  1. Disconnect the battery.

  2. Object Number: 1941206  Size: LH
  3. Remove the front seat belt trim panel (1) in the direction of the arrow.
  4. Remove the safety belt for front seat.
  5. Remove the bolt (2).

  6. Position the seat to the forward most position.
  7. Remove the front seat at back.
  8. Remove the 2 bolts (1).

    Note: Disconnect the wiring harness plug.

  9. Remove the front seat.
  10. Remove from front of guide.

  11. Partially unfasten the front seat back cushion cover.
  12. • Remove the cover all around (I).
    • Remove the 2 clamps (II).

  13. Disconnect the side airbag.
  14. Remove the 3 bolts (1).

  15. Remove the side airbag.
  16. Release and disconnect the wiring harness plug.

  17. Expose the airbag wiring harness.

  18. Object Number: 1938673  Size: LH
  19. Remove the height adjuster panel.
  20. Release with a plastic wedge.

  21. Detach the height adjuster.
  22. Remove the 2 bolts (1) and remove the lever.

  23. Remove the adjuster wheel for back seat backrest.
  24. Release using a plastic wedge.

  25. Remove the outside paneling.
  26. • Remove the 2 bolts (1, 3).
    • Remove the paneling forwards from guide (2).

  27. Remove the interior paneling.
  28. 15.1. Remove the bolt (1).
    15.2. Remove the paneling.

  29. Remove the seat wiring harness plug.
  30. Release the plug.


    Object Number: 1941383  Size: LH
  31. Expose the seat heating wiring harness.
  32. 17.1. Detach the wiring harness plug and expose.
    17.2. Remove the 3 cable ties (1).

  33. Remove the front seat back cushion.
  34. 18.1. Remove the 4 bolts (1, 2).
    18.2. Remove the front seat back cushion.

  35. Detach the upholstery.
  36. 19.1. Detach the upholstery from around the seat frame.
    19.2. Detach the 16 upholstery clamps.
    19.3. Remove the upholstery.

  37. Carefully remove the heater mat (1) from the padding.

Installation Procedure

  1. Glue the heater mat to the padding.
  2. Install the upholstery.
  3. 2.1. Position the upholstery.
    2.2. Install the 16 padding clamps.
    2.3. Install the upholstery all around the seat frame.

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the front seat back cushion.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the 4 bolts to 35 N·m (25 lb ft).

  6. Insert the seat heating wiring harness.
  7. Install with 4 cable ties.

  8. Install the airbag wiring harness.
  9. Install the seat wiring harness plug.
  10. Connect the plug.

  11. Install the interior paneling.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  13. Install the outside paneling.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  15. Install the adjuster wheel for back seat backrest.
  16. Clip in the adjuster wheel.

  17. Install the height adjuster.
  18. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft)..

  19. Install the height adjuster panel.
  20. Clip in the panel.

  21. Insert the side airbag.
  22. Note: Note correct arrangement of wiring harness.

  23. Connect and lock the wiring harness plug.
  24. Attach the side airbag.
  25. Tighten
    Tighten the 3 bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  26. Install the front seat back cushion cover.
  27. 14.1. Install the 2 clamps.
    14.2. Install the cover all round.

    Note: Connect the wiring harness plug.

  28. Install the front seat.
  29. Insert into front guide.

  30. Install the front seat at back.
  31. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  32. Shift the seat to starting position.
  33. Install the safety belt to front seat.
  34. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  35. Install the safety belt trim panel.
  36. Connect the battery.
