Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 1937550 Size: LF
  2. Partly loosen the water vapor barrier.
    3. • Remove the 2 front door retainer base inner paneling.
    • Loosen the water vapor barrier in the area of the hatching.
  3. Disconnect the lock catch wiring harness plug.

    4. Object Number: 1941020 Size: SH
  4. Remove the fastening pins between door handle and lock.

    5. Remove the plastic retainer and release the fastening pins.

  5. Remove the front door lock.
    6. • Remove the 3 bolts.
    • Disconnect the connector linkage of the lock cylinder and remove the lock.

    Object Number: 1941193 Size: SH
  6. Remove the cable from the inner door actuation.

    7. Disconnect the cable from the bracket and take out of lock.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the cable to inner door actuation.

    2. Push the cable back into lock and clip into bracket.

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the front door lock.

    3. Install the connector linkage of the lock cylinder and install the lock.

    Tighten
    Tighten the 3 bolts to 8 N·m (70 lb in).

  3. Connect the lock catch wiring harness plug.

    4. Connect and latch the wiring harness plug.

  4. Fasten the fastening pins between the door handle and lock.

    5. Install the fastening pins and clip the plastic retainer.

  5. Install the water vapor barrier.

    6. Install the 2 front door retainer base inner paneling.

  6. Install the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
