Removal Procedure
  1. Open the driver door.
  2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1948686 Size: LH
  3. Disconnect the wiring harness plug (1).

    4. Remove the wiring harness plug in the direction of the arrow.

  4. Remove the accelerator pedal position sensor.

    5. Remove and discard the 3 nuts (2).

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Install the accelerator pedal position sensor.

    2. Use NEW nuts.

    Tighten
    Tighten the 3 nuts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  2. Install the wiring harness plug.
  3. Install the I/P insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement.
  4. Close the driver door.
