Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1936908 Size: LH
  1. Open the hood.

    2. Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.

  2. Disconnect the battery.
    3. • Remove the negative connection from the ground terminal.
    • Loosen the nut.
  3. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
  4. Disconnect the generator from the power supply.
    5. • Disconnect the generator from the power supply.
    • Remove the 2 nuts (1, 2).
  5. Remove the generator.

    6. Remove the 2 bolts (3, 4).

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Install the generator.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 35 N·m (25 lb ft).

  2. Install the wiring harness to the generator.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 nuts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  3. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
  4. Connect the battery.

    5. Install the negative connection to the ground terminal.

    Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  5. For programming procedures, refer to Control Module References.
  6. Close the hood.
