Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the battery.

    2. Remove the positive and negative cables.

  2. Wait 1 minute for the airbag to deactivate.
  3. Remove the battery.

    4. Remove the bolt.


    Object Number: 1937634 Size: LH
  4. Remove the airbag sensor.
    5. • Remove the 2 bolts (1).
    • Disconnect the wiring harness plug and remove the sensor.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Install the airbag sensor.

    2. Insert the sensor and connect the wiring harness plug.

    Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  2. Install the battery.
  3. Connect the battery.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  4. Perform the readiness inspection.
