DEFINITION: Noise while driving

Engine or transmission mounts

    â€¢ Inspect the engine mounts and the transmission mounts for wear or loose mounting fasteners.
    â€¢ Replace any faulty engine or transmission mounts or loose fasteners.

Exhaust system

    â€¢ Inspect the exhaust system for loose or missing hangers.
    â€¢ Inspect the exhaust system for contacting body or frame components.
    â€¢ Adjust or repair the exhaust system.

Interference with drivetrain or body

    â€¢ Inspect components surrounding the transmission assembly and engine for improper contact.
    â€¢ Repair or adjust as necessary.

Drive shafts

    â€¢ Inspect the drive shafts for worn components.
    â€¢ Replace the drive shaft if worn.

Engine malfunction

    â€¢ Ensure engine is operating properly.
    â€¢ Repair engine to operate properly.

Oil cooler pipe

    â€¢ Inspect the oil cooler pipe routing and alignment.
    â€¢ Repair the oil cooler pipe routing and alignment.

Internal transmission part failure

    â€¢ Disassemble the transmission and inspect the following:
       - Worn bearings
       - Bent shafts
       - Planetary assemblies for wear
       - Excessive wear on gears
    â€¢ Replace transmission if any parts are faulty.
