Removal Procedure
- Remove the tail lamps. Refer to
Tail Lamp Replacement.
- Remove the license plate.
- Remove the license plate (arrows) lights.
| • | Release the 2 brackets. |
| • | Disconnect the 2 wiring harness plugs. |
- Loosen the rear fascia.
| • | Remove the 4 right (2) and left (1) screws. |
| • | Remove the 2 middle bolts (3). |
Note: Removal of both license plate lights not required.
- For vehicles equipped with park pilot, disconnect the wiring harness plug (1).
Note: Release the rear fascia carefully sideways from the supports. Pull the rear fascia, side, upwards and outwards in the direction of the arrow in the area of the supports.
- With the aid of an assistant, detach the rear fascia (1).
| • | Release the rear fascia from the right outer support (2). |
| • | Release the rear fascia from the rear center support (3). |
| • | Release the rear fascia from the left outer support (4). |
- Remove the rear fascia molding.
| • | Remove the energy absorber (1). |
| • | Remove the 10 clips (2) and remove the molding. |
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear fascia molding.
Install the 10 molding clips.
- With the aid of an assistant, install the rear fascia.
| • | Position the license plate lights wiring harness. |
| • | Install the rear fascia into the left outer support. |
| • | Install the rear fascia into the rear center support. |
| • | Install the rear fascia into the right outer support. |
- Connect the wiring harness plug in vehicles equipped with park pilot.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the rear fascia 4 screws.
Tighten
Tighten the 4 screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).
- Install the rear fascia 2 middle bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the 2 middle bolts to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).
- Install the left and right license plate lights.
| • | Connect the 2 wiring harness plugs. |
| • | Install the 2 brackets. |
- Install the license plate.
- Install the tail lamps. Refer to
Tail Lamp Replacement.
