Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1948690  Size: LH

    Important: Do not allow the electro-hydraulic supply unit to run dry. Drained fluid must not be re-used. The hydraulic system is filled with special fluid GM P/N 88901975 (Canadian P/N 88901976). The fluid reservoir is integrated in the electro-hydraulic supply unit and is located on the right-hand side of the engine compartment between the engine and bulkhead.

  1. Drain the fluid.
  2. Use a funnel with a flexible pipe to fill the hydraulic system.
  3. Fill and bleed the hydraulic system at room temperature. Leave the hydraulic system at operating temperature to cool down to room temperature.
  4. Important: The closure cap (1) of the fluid reservoir is locked, then removed again and the level is read off on the dipstick (2).

  5. Inspect the fluid level.

Installation Procedure

  1. Remove the closure cap from the fluid reservoir.
  2. Important: To avoid overfilling, place closure cap with dipstick on reservoir several times and remove to check the level.

  3. Top up with special oil to the upper marking on the dipstick in the fluid reservoir.
  4. Attach the closure cap to the fluid reservoir.
