Removal Procedure

    Note: Wait 1 minute for airbag to deactivate.

  1. Disconnect the battery.
  2. Place the seat in the most forward position.

  3. Object Number: 1941206  Size: LH
  4. Remove the front seat belt securing panel (1).
  5. Remove the seat belt from front seat.
  6. Remove the bolt (2).


    Object Number: 1941313  Size: LH
  7. Remove the drivers seat, rear.
  8. Remove the 2 bolts (1).

  9. Remove the front seat.
  10. Note: Disconnect the wiring harness plug.

  11. Remove from the front guide.

  13. Remove the height adjuster panel.
  14. Release with a plastic wedge.

  15. Remove the height adjuster.
  16. Remove the 2 bolts (1) and remove lever.
  17. Remove the rear seat backrest adjuster wheel.
  18. Release with a plastic wedge.

  19. Remove the outer paneling.
  20. 12.1. Remove the 2 bolts (1, 3).
    12.2. Remove the front of paneling from the guide (2).

  21. Remove the interior paneling.
  22. 13.1. Remove the bolt (1).
    13.2. Remove the paneling.
  23. Remove the central wiring harness plug for seat in vehicles with heated seats.
  24. Disconnect the connection.

  25. Uncover the wiring harness for seat heating, if equipped.
  26. 15.1. Disconnect and uncover the wiring harness plug (arrows).
    15.2. Remove the 3 cable ties (1).

  27. Remove the belt buckle tensioner.
  28. Remove the bolt (1) and remove belt buckle tensioner from the bracket.

  30. Remove the front seat backrest.
  31. 18.1. Remove the 4 bolts (1, 2).
    18.2.  Remove the front seat backrest.

    Object Number: 1937542  Size: LF
  32. Remove the seat height adjuster.
  33. Remove the 4 bolts.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Install the seat height adjuster.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the 4 bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  3. Install the front seat backrest.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the 4 bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  5. Install the belt buckle tensioner.
  6. Note:  Use screw locking compound.

  7. Insert the belt buckle tensioner in bracket.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  9. For vehicles with seat heating:
  10. 5.1. Install the wiring harness in seat cushion frame guide.

    Clip in 2 clips.

    5.2. Position the wiring harness in the central wiring harness plug.
       • Connect the 3 wiring harnesses in the central harness plug.
       • Insert the wiring harness into grooved tube.
       • Install the 3 cable ties.
       • Install the paneling.
  11. Install the interior paneling.
  12. Insert the paneling.

    Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  13. Install the exterior paneling.
  14. Insert the paneling.

    Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  15. Install the rear seat backrest adjuster wheel.
  16. Install the adjusting wheel.

  17. Install the height adjuster.
  18. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  19. Install the height adjuster panel.
  20. Install the panel.

  21. Install the front seat.
  22. 11.1. Connect the wiring harness plug.
    11.2. Insert into the front guide.
  23. Install the front seat, rear.
  24. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

    Note: Use screw locking compound.

  25. Install the front seat belt.
  26. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  27. Insert the front seat belt securing panel.
  28. Place the front seat in original position.

  29. Connect the battery.
