Important: The damaged head restraint guide sleeves must be replaced.
Remove the head restraint from the guide sleeve (1, 2) and remove upwards.
• | Bend the standard wire release hook, wire diameter 1-1.5 mm (0.04-0.06 in), for the active head restraint guide sleeve as in illustration I. |
• | Mark the insertion depth of 50-55 mm (1.97-2.17 in). |
• | Insert the release hook opposite the release button of the active headrest guide sleeve, release the guide sleeve and pull it out upwards. |
Push the headrest guide sleeve into the front seat backrest until it clicks.
Engage the head restraint with an audible click.
Important: The damaged head restraint guide sleeves must be replaced.
Remove the head restraint from the guide sleeve (1, 2) and remove upwards.
Important: Position I shows the lug to the right of the head restraint guide sleeve which must be pushed in for removal.
• | Push the guide sleeve (1) upwards with a suitable tool, e.g. pointed pliers, and compress both lugs (2) upwards with a screwdriver at the same time. |
• | Pull the guide sleeves upwards off the front seat backrest. |
Engage the head restraint with an audible click.
