Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat backrest. Refer to
Front Seat Back Replacement
.
- For vehicles equipped with lumbar support adjusters, remove the lumbar support adjuster rotary knob.
- For vehicles equipped with an armrest, remove the armrest.
• | Fold down the drivers seat armrest, push armrest cover (1) to the side, pull safety clamp forward (2). |
- For vehicle with active headrest, detach headrest guide sleeve.
• | Make release hook for active headrest guide sleeve using standard commercially available wire diameter 1-1.5 mm (0.04-0.06 in). |
• | Mark insert depth of 50-55 mm (0.078-0.085 in). |
• | Insert active headrest release hook opposite the release knob of the guide sleeve, release guide sleeve and remove upwards. |
- For vehicles without active headrest, detach headrest guide sleeve .
| Important: Do not damage the upholstery.

• | Carefully insert two small flat-head screwdrivers into the outsides of the headrest guide sleeve and compress the retaining lugs (I). |
• | Remove the headrest guide sleeve upwards. |
- Detach the upholstery.
6.1. | Detach the upholstery from around seat frame. |
6.2. | Detach the 11 upholstery clamps. |
6.3. | Remove the upholstery . |
- Carefully detach the heater mat (1) from padding.
Installation Procedure
- Glue the heater mat to padding.
- Attach the upholstery.
- Position the upholstery .
Attach the 11 upholstery clamps.
- Install the headrest guide sleeve.
Push the headrest guide sleeve until it engages in front seat backrest.
- For vehicles equipped with armrest, attach the armrest.
- For vehicles equipped with lumbar support adjuster, install lumbar support adjuster wheel.
Attach the knob.
- Attach the front seat backrest. Refer to
