Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.

    Note: Only upon replacement of servo motor.

  1. Disconnect the battery.

    2. Object Number: 1937184 Size: LF
  2. Remove the instrument panel insulator panel.

    3. Remove the 2 retainers (1).

  3. Remove the defrost valve actuator from the cam.
    4. 3.1. Remove the 3 bolts (2).
    3.2. Release and disconnect the wiring harness plug.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1944531 Size: LF

    Note: Turn the cam (2). Affix adjuster tool to the adjuster aid (3).

  1. Install the enclosed adjuster tool (1).

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the defrost valve actuator to the cam.

    3. Connect the wiring harness plug of defrost actuator.

    Tighten
    Tighten the 3 bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  3. Install the instrument panel insulator panel.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the 3 retainers.

    Note: Only upon replacement of servo motor.

  4. Connect the battery.
  5. For programming procedures, refer to Control Module References.
  6. Perform the function inspection.
