DTC B3114 00: Remote-Key 1 Not Synchronized

DTC B3115 00: Remote-Key 2 Not Synchronized

DTC B3116 00: Remote-Key 3 Not Synchronized

DTC B3117 00: Remote-Key 4 Not Synchronized

DTC B3118 00: Remote-Key 5 Not Synchronized

Circuit/System Description

Each remote-key maintains synchronization with the steering column module (CIM). Upon each ignition transition from OFF to ON, that particular remote-key is synchronized to the CIM.

Conditions for Running the DTC

A remote-key button is pressed.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The remote-key and CIM are not synchronized.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The keyless entry system is inoperative from the appropriate remote-key.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The DTC is cleared when the remote-key becomes synchronized with the CIM.

Circuit/System Verification

  1. Clear the DTCs.
  2. Ignition OFF for 60 seconds.
  3. Ignition ON, verify the DTC does not set.
  4. If the DTC sets, replace the appropriate remote-key. If the DTC resets, replace the CIM.
