DTC B1245 00: CD-Changer Malfunction

DTC B1245 61: CD-Changer Loading Sledge Malfunction

DTC B1246 00: CD-Change Track Read Error

DTC B1247 13: CD-Change High Temperature

DTC B1249 08: CD-Change Table of Contents Read Error

Circuit/System Description

The radio monitors the CD change for any errors or malfunctions during operation.

Conditions for Running the DTC

This test runs continuously.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

A malfunction is detected in the CD changer.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

CD changer operation will be disabled.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The DTC will clear when a CD change malfunction is no longer detected.

Circuit/System Verification

Note: Allow the entertainment system to cool if the ambient temperature inside the vehicle is in excess before proceeding with this diagnostic procedure.

  1. Ignition ON, with a scan tool clear all DTCs.
  2. Radio ON, play a known good CD.
  3. If the DTC resets, replace the radio.

Repair Instructions
