J 39637 KM-6626 Wiper Arm Puller

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the battery.

  2. Object Number: 1936372  Size: SH
  3. Remove the windshield air inlet screen (1).
  4. Remove the wiper arms (2).
  5. • Remove the 2 covers.
    • Remove the 2 nuts.
    • Remove the 2 washers.
    • Remove the wiper arm using J 39637 / KM-6626.
    • Disconnect the hose for the washer/wiper system.

  6. Remove the windshield air inlet screen (1).
  7. • Lift the windshield air inlet screen in the vicinity of the dash.

       Note: Carefully release the clips from the inside from the upper dash.

    • Release the 5 clips (3).
    • Remove the hose for the air inlet screen (2).

  8. Remove the power horn.
  9. • Disconnect the wiring harness plug (1).
    • Remove the 2 nuts (2).
    • Remove the power horn.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Install the power horn.
  2. • Position the power horn.

    Tighten
    Tighten the 2 nuts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

    • Connect the wiring harness plug.
  3. Install the windshield air inlet screen.
  4. • Install the hose to the air inlet screen.
    • Install the 5 clips.
  5. Install the windshield wiper arms.
  6.    Note: Ensure correct installation position of the windshield wiper arms.

    • Position the 2 windshield wiper arms on the shaft.
    • Install the 2 washers.

    Tighten
    Tighten the 2 nuts to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).

    • Install the 2 covers.
  7. Install the windshield air inlet screen.
  8. Connect the battery.
