Shift Cable Adjustment for Saturn ION 2003

1. Set the parking brake.
2. Remove the cup holder. Refer to Front Floor Console Cup Holder Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.



3. Lift and unlock the shift cable retainers.



4. Push the shifter neutral lock clip. Move the shifter slightly in order to center the lock clip.
5. Ensure that the transmission is in neutral.



6. Press and lock the shift cable retainers.



7. Pull the shifter neutral lock clip to its original position.
8. Install the cup holder. Refer to Front Floor Console Cup Holder Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
