Roof Weld Joint Reveal Molding Replacement - Front Coupe

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 863977  Size: SH
  1. Remove the retaining screw from the mirror applique.
  2. Remove the mirror applique from the roof applique.

  3. Object Number: 864097  Size: SH
  4. Remove the retaining screws from the front roof applique.
  5. Slide the roof applique forward. Remove the roof applique.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 864097  Size: SH
  1. Position the front roof applique to the roof. Slide the front roof applique into the rear roof applique.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the applique retaining screws. Tighten the screws in the sequence shown.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the roof applique to body side screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Position the mirror applique to the front roof applique.
  6. Install the remaining screw.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the roof applique to body side screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the retaining screws from the front roof applique.
  2. Slide the roof applique forward. Remove the roof applique.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the front roof applique to the roof. Slide the tab under the rear roof applique.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application.
