The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
Rear door weatherstrip may appear loose during installation/replacement or pull loose from door mounting flange after installation due to the absence of the crimping process at the front vertical section.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Weatherstrip service part is not crimped and must be crimped prior to installation. Crimp only the front vertical section of the weatherstrip by hand - do not use hand tools or power tools. No adhesive is necessary once weatherstrip is crimped.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
