J 45000 Seal Remover


    Object Number: 749551  Size: SH

    Important: Do not drop any of the fluid pump parts.

  1. Remove 13 transmission fluid pump cover bolts/screws (231) and 1 transmission fluid pump cover bolt/screw (232) to separate the fluid pump body from the fluid pump stator shaft assembly (208).

  2. Object Number: 749554  Size: SH
  3. Remove the fluid pump plate (207) from the fluid pump body (202).
  4. Remove the fluid pump O-ring seal (206) from the fluid pump body (202).

  5. Object Number: 749562  Size: SH
  6. Push the fluid pump driven gear (204) to one side of the fluid pump body (202). Using a feeler gage, measure the clearance between the fluid pump driven gear (204) and the fluid pump body (202). Refer to Fluid Pump Assembly, Driven Gear to Body Clearance in Transmission Clearance Specifications .

  7. Object Number: 749566  Size: SH
  8. Using a feeler gage, measure between the fluid pump drive gear (205) teeth and the crescent shaped part of the fluid pump body (202). Refer to Fluid Pump Assembly, Drive Gear Tip to Body Clearance in Transmission Clearance Specifications .

  9. Object Number: 749567  Size: SH
  10. Using a feeler gage, measure between the fluid pump driven gear (204) teeth and the crescent shaped part of the fluid pump body (202). Refer to Fluid Pump Assembly, Driven Gear Tip to Body Clearance in Transmission Clearance Specifications .

  11. Object Number: 749572  Size: SH
  12. Using a steel straight edge and a feeler gage, measure the side clearance of both fluid pump gears in relationship to the fluid pump body. Refer to Fluid Pump Assembly, Side Clearance of Drive and Driven Gear to Body in Transmission Clearance Specifications .

  13. Object Number: 749555  Size: SH
  14. Remove the fluid pump drive gear (205) and the fluid pump driven gear (204).

  15. Object Number: 749556  Size: SH

    Important: Do not damage the fluid pump body bushing.

  16. Using J 45000 , remove the fluid pump seal assembly (200) from the fluid pump body (202).
