Makes 🢒 Saturn 🢒 2005 🢒 ION 🢒 Body 🢒 Interior Trim 🢒 Door Lock Cylinder Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the outer door panel. Refer to Front Side Door Outer Panel Replacement .
  2. Partially remove the door insulator at the rear of the door.

    3. Object Number: 867579 Size: SH
  3. Remove the lock cylinder retainer.

    4. Object Number: 864000 Size: SH
  4. Rotate the lock cylinder forward, with the lock rod attached, into the door access hole.

    5. Object Number: 864001 Size: SH
  5. Remove the lock cylinder with the V-clip by rotating the lock cylinder off of the lock rod.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 864001 Size: SH

    Important: If a new lock cylinder is being installed, the V-clip retainer can be reused if the retainer is not broken.

  1. Install the door lock cylinder with the retainer by rotating the cylinder onto the lock rod.

    2. Object Number: 864000 Size: SH
  2. Rotate the lock cylinder into the lock cylinder opening.

    3. Object Number: 867579 Size: SH
  3. Install the lock cylinder retainer.
  4. Install the door insulator.
  5. Install the outer door panel. Refer to Front Side Door Outer Panel Replacement .
