This bulletin is being revised to include the 2008 model year and additional models. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 02-08-44-007B (Section 08 - Body and Accessories).
Dealers should not install a cloth or vinyl roof on vehicles that have been ordered with the XM radio option (RPO U2K) and/or OnStar® (RPO UE1). The performance of these systems may be negatively impacted by the installation of the cloth/vinyl
roof. Additionally, water leaks may result from installing a cloth or vinyl roof on vehicles with roof-mounted antenna systems. Relocating the antenna to another spot on the vehicle exterior, in order to install a cloth or vinyl roof, is not advised either.
The performance of the OnStar® and XM Radio antennas has been optimized for their current locations. Relocating the antennas may result in a performance degradation.
