Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement 2.0L (LSJ)

Tools Required

SA9111E Constant Force Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1380620 Size: SH
  3. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp at the radiator using SA9111E .
  4. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Remove the underhood electrical center. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Bracket Replacement .

    7. Object Number: 1380626 Size: SH
  7. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp at the engine using SA9111E .
  8. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the engine.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1380620 Size: SH
  1. Install the radiator outlet hose to the radiator.
  2. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp to secure the hose using SA9111E .
  3. Install the underhood electrical center. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Bracket Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 1380626 Size: SH
  4. Install the radiator outlet hose to the engine.
  5. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp to secure the hose using SA9111E .
  6. Install the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .
  7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement 2.4L (LE5) Early

Tools Required

SA9111E Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Lower the vehicle.
  3. Remove the underhood electrical center junction block bracket. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Bracket Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 873616 Size: SH
  4. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp at the radiator using SA9111E .
  5. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.

    6. Object Number: 1656460 Size: SH
  6. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp at the engine using SA9111E .
  7. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp at the engine oil cooler using SA9111E .
  8. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the engine oil cooler and the engine.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 873616 Size: SH
  1. Install the radiator outlet hose to the radiator.
  2. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp to secure the hose using SA9111E .

    3. Object Number: 1656460 Size: SH
  3. Install the radiator outlet hose to the engine oil cooler.
  4. Install the radiator outlet hose to the engine.
  5. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamps to secure the hose using SA9111E .
  6. Install the underhood electrical center junction block bracket. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Bracket Replacement .
  7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

Radiator Outlet Hose Assembly

Tip

    • Using SA9111E position radiator outlet hose clamps aside and remove hose from the fittings.
    • Remove the radiator outlet hose retainers from the cradle assembly and engine bracket.
    • Note routing of the radiator outlet hose to ensure proper insulation.
