Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 279014  Size: SH
  1. Remove the upper trim finish panel from the front door. Refer to Upper Extension Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the rearview mirror sound absorber.
  3. Disconnect the rearview mirror electrical connector (3), if equipped.

  4. Object Number: 279016  Size: SH
  5. Remove the rearview mirror nuts (2).
  6. Remove the rearview mirror (1) from the door.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 279016  Size: SH
  1. Position the rearview mirror (1) to the door.

  2. Object Number: 279014  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the rearview mirror nuts (2).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear door rear view mirror nuts (2) to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Connect the rearview mirror electrical connector (3), if equipped.
  6. Install the rearview mirror sound absorber.
  7. Install the front door upper trim finish panel. Refer to Upper Extension Trim Panel Replacement .
