Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 863961  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front screw from the front of the outer belt seal.
  2. Important: A putty knife with the blade covered with tape may be needed to gently pry the belt seal from the flange.

  3. Beginning in the front, lift the outer belt seal. Remove the outer belt seal.

Installation Procedure

  1. Press the outer belt seal onto the flange.
  2. Inspect the alignment of the front edge of the door to the outer belt seal
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the outer belt seal screw.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the rear door outer belt seal screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
