Roof Weld Joint Reveal Molding Replacement - Rear Coupe

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 865697  Size: SH
  1. Remove the retaining screws from the roof applique.
  2. Slide the roof applique forward to remove the locking tab on the quarter panel from the slot in the applique.
  3. Remove the roof applique.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 865697  Size: SH
  1. Position the slot in the rear roof applique over the locking tab on the quarter panel.
  2. Slide the rear roof applique down to lock the applique into position.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the roof applique retaining screws. Tighten the screws in the sequence shown.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the roof applique to body side screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the retaining screws from the roof applique.
  2. Slide the roof applique forward to remove the locking tab on the quarter panel from the slot in the applique.
  3. Remove the roof applique.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 866903  Size: SH
  1. Position the slot in the rear roof applique over the locking tab on the quarter panel.
  2. Slide the rear roof applique down to lock the applique into position.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.
