Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Frame Replacement Non-Fold Flat

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 873509  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front seat from the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Remove the seat side trim. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 873533  Size: SH
  4. Remove the seat adjuster handle by squeezing the bars toward the center of the seat.
  5. On vehicles equipped with 4-way adjusters, raise the driver side seat cushion.

  7. Remove the attaching bolts from the seat cushion frame.

  8. Object Number: 873772  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the J hook retainers from the seat cushion cover.
  10. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad assembly from the seat cushion frame.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 873772  Size: SH
  1. Install the seat cushion cover and pad assembly onto the seat cushion frame.
  2. Connect the J hook retainers.

  3. Object Number: 876753  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the attaching bolts to the seat cushion frame.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  6. Install the seat adjuster handle.
  7. Install the seat side trim. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .

  8. Object Number: 873509  Size: SH
  9. Install the front seat to the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  10. Caution: To avoid personal injuries, re-zero the passenger presence system whenever you remove or replace the seat cushion or trim. Failure to do so may cause the system to malfunction.

  11. Re-zero the inflatable restraint passenger presence system whenever the seat cushion or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Passenger Presence System Programming and Setup .

Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Frame Replacement Fold Flat

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 875197  Size: SH
  1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Position the seat back in the upright position.
  3. Remove the outer trim panel from the seat back recliner. Refer to Front Seat Back Recliner Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  4. Remove the outer trim panel. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .

  6. Remove the seat adjuster handle by squeezing the both sides toward the center of the seat.

  7. Object Number: 873772  Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the rear J-hook retainer.
  9. Remove the fold-flat cable from the hook in the seat cushion frame.

  10. Object Number: 875188  Size: SH
  11. Remove the seat cushion frame bolts.
  12. Remove the cushion and frame assembly from the seat.

  13. Object Number: 873772  Size: SH
  14. Disconnect the remaining J-hook retainers.
  15. Remove the trim and pad assembly from the seat cushion frame.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat cushion pad and trim assembly to the frame.
  2. Connect the front and the side J-hook retainers.
  3. Install the seat cushion assembly to the seat.

  4. Object Number: 875188  Size: SH

  7. Install the fold-flat cable into the hook in the cushion frame.

  9. Install the rear J-hook retainer.

  11. Install the seat adjuster handle.

  13. Install the seat side trim. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  14. Install the outer trim panel to the seat back recliner. Refer to Front Seat Back Recliner Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  15. Install the seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  16. Caution: To avoid personal injuries, re-zero the passenger presence system whenever you remove or replace the seat cushion or trim. Failure to do so may cause the system to malfunction.

  17. Re-zero the inflatable restraint passenger presence system whenever the seat cushion or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Passenger Presence System Programming and Setup .
