Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear compartment lid.
  2. Remove the rear compartment spare tire cover.
  3. Remove the cargo net, if equipped.

  4. Object Number: 876824  Size: SH
  5. Remove the convenience net fasteners near the tail lamps, if equipped.
  6. Fold down the rear seat back.
  7. Unbend the metal tabs which hold the compartment trim in place.

  8. Object Number: 888327  Size: SH
  9. Remove the compartment trim.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 888327  Size: SH
  1. Install the trim panel into the rear compartment.
  2. Adjust the trim panel to the desired appearance. Ensure that the forward edge is tucked behind the rear seat backs.

  3. Object Number: 876824  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the convenience net fasteners.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 2.5 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Bend the metal tabs which are used to hold the compartment trim in place.
  7. Install the cargo net, if equipped.
  8. Install the rear compartment spare tire cover.
  9. Close the rear compartment lid.
