Subject: | 05104 -- FOG LAMP COMPLIANCE |
Models: | 2006 SATURN ION QUAD COUPE RED LINE |
Saturn has decided that certain 2006 Saturn ION Quad Coupe Red Line vehicles fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108, Lighting Systems and Retroreflective Devices. On these vehicles, when the fog lamps are turned on, the parking lamps, tail lamps, license plate lamp, and side marker lamps do not automatically turn on as required.
Retailers are to install a jumper wire, which will activate the required lamps when the fog lamps are turned on.
Involved are certain 2006 Saturn ION Quad Coupe Red Line vehicles built within these VIN breakpoints:
Year | Division | Model | From | Through |
---|---|---|---|---|
2006 | Saturn | ION Quad Red Line | 6Z138217 | 6Z146837 |
Important: Retailers should confirm vehicle eligibility through GMVIS (GM Vehicle Inquiry System) prior to beginning recall repairs. [Not all vehicles within the above breakpoints may be involved.]
For retailers with involved vehicles, a Campaign Initiation Detail Report (CIDR) containing the complete vehicle identification number, customer name and address data has been prepared and will be loaded to the GMinfoNet Recall Reports.
The Campaign Initiation Detail Report may contain customer names and addresses obtained from Motor Vehicle Registration Records. The use of such motor vehicle registration data for any purpose other than follow-up necessary to complete this recall is a violation of law in several states/provinces/countries. Accordingly, you are urged to limit the use of this report to the follow-up necessary to complete this recall.
The jumper wire required to complete this recall is being shipped to retailers at no-charge.
