The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
When programming the PCM with TIS version 12, an error message stating "No Communication on Step 29" may appear on the Tech 2 screen right after the program status bar reaches 100%.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Typically, this programming message will not effect PCM operation since it occurs after the PCM is fully programmed and the status bar has reached 100%. Please disregard this error message if the engine starts and runs normally. This issue has been corrected on TIS version 1.35, which should arrive at dealers by the end of January 2006 or beginning of February 2006.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
