Information on Setting Time and/or Date on Radio Clock

Some customers may comment that the time and/or date cannot be set on the vehicle radio using the instructions in the Owners Manual or "Getting to Know Your Vehicle" (GTK) guide.

The manual/guide may not instruct customers to turn on both the ignition key and the radio prior to setting the time and/or date. Late changes to the radio require both the vehicle and radio to be on prior to attempting to set the time and/or date.

If a customer reports this concern, instruct them that prior to attempting to set time and/or date, they must turn the ignition key to ACC or RUN, then turn the radio on. Then they should follow the procedures in appropriate Owners Manual or GTK. (The "tune knob" referenced in the Owners Manual and the GTK guide is located at the upper right corner of the radio.)
