Front Seat Head Restraint Guide Replacement Non-Fold Flat
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat from the vehicle. Refer to
Front Seat Replacement - Bucket

- Remove the head restraint. Refer to
Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement

- Remove the outer trim panel from the front seat cushion. Refer to
Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Position the seat back forward to expose
the lower J-hook retainer on the seat back trim cover.
- Disconnect the J-hook retainer.
- Position the seat back rearward and pull the trim cover out from between
the seat back and the cushion.
Notice: Use care when disengaging the hook and loop fasteners. The hook end may pull from the seat foam pad, requiring foam pad replacement.
- Pull the seat back cover up. Carefully disengage the hook and loop and retainers
until the head restraint guides are exposed.
- Squeeze the head restraint locking tabs.
- Pull the guides up and out of the seat back frame, the pad, and the trim
cover.
Installation Procedure
- Install the head restraint guides by pushing the guides into the seat back
trim cover, the pad, and the frame. Push until you engage the locking tabs.
- Install the seat back trim cover. Press
over the hook and loop fasteners to ensure that the fasteners engage.
- Push the trim cover between the seat back and the cushion.
- Install the trim cover J-hook retainer.
- Install the outer trim panel from the front seat cushion. Refer to

- Install the head restraint. Refer to

- Install the front seat from the vehicle. Refer to
Front Seat Replacement - Bucket

Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat from the vehicle. Refer to
Front Seat Replacement - Bucket

- Remove the head restraint. Refer to
Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement
.
- Remove the screws from the trim panels on the inboard and the outboard seat back recliners.
- Remove the inboard and the outboard trim panels.
- Remove the screws from the seat cushion outer trim panel.
- Remove the outer trim panel.
- Position the seat back in the fold flat position.
- Remove the screws from the seat back panel.
- Remove the panel from the seat back.
- Remove the seat back frame bolts.
- Remove the seat back from between the recliners.
- Disconnect the J-hook retainer along the rear edge of the seat back.
- Lift the seat back trim cover to expose the center J-hook retainer. Disconnect the retainer.
Notice: Use care when disengaging the hook and loop fasteners. The hook end may pull from the seat foam pad, requiring foam pad replacement.
- Lift the seat back trim cover. Carefully disengage the hook and loop fasteners until you expose the head restraint guides.
- Press the locking tabs and pull up on the head restraint guides. Remove the guides from the seat back frame, the pad, and the trim.
Installation Procedure
- Install the head restraint guides by pushing the guides down into the seat back trim, the pad, and the frame until you engage the locking tabs.
- Install the seat back trim cover. Press over the hook and loop locations to ensure that you have engaged the fasteners.
- Install the center J-hook retainer.
- Install the lower J-hook retainer.
- Position the seat back between the recliners.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the seat back frame bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).
- Install the seat back panel.
- Install the screws to the seat back panel.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 1 N·m (9 lb in).
- Install the outer trim panel to the seat cushion.
- Install the outer trim panel screws.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 1 N·m (9 lb in).
- Install the trim panels to the inboard and the outboard seat back recliners.
- Install the trim panel screws.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 1 N·m (9 lb in).
- Install the head restraint. Refer to

- Install the front seat from the vehicle. Refer to
Front Seat Replacement - Bucket
