or 2.4L Engine (VIN B or P - RPO LE5)

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

On rare occasions, a SES light may be experienced due to DTCs P0449, P0455, and/or P2431.

Recommendation/Instructions:

If this concern is experienced, perform the SI diagnostics and repair as necessary. If the SI diagnostics do not isolate a cause for this concern, reprogram the ECM with the latest TIS2Web calibrations. The updated ECM calibration is titled "Diagnostic enhancements for DTCs P0449 P0442 P0455 P2431", This calibration, or any that follow, is designed to address this concern.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
