Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose Replacement L61

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove the head degas hose from the underhood fuse block (UHFB) clamps.



3. Remove the head degas hose to the surge tank clamp and remove the hose from the surge tank.



4. Remove the head degas hose to head clamp and remove the hose from the head.
5. Open the throttle cable/cruise cable vacuum line clamps.
6. Remove the wiring harness to head degas pipe bracket clamp rosebud.
7. Remove the head degas pipe bracket to the head bolt.
8. Remove head degas hose/pipe assembly from head retaining clips.

1. Install and position the head degas hose/pipe assembly to the head and surge tank fitting.
2. Install the head degas hose to the surge tank clamp at 1 o'clock position.



3. Install the head degas hose to the head clamp so the tangs face the rear of the vehicle.



4. Finger start the head degas pipe assembly bracket to head bolt.
5. Install the head degas pipe into the retaining clips.
6. Support the bracket to prevent turning, and torque the degas hose/pipe assembly to head bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the degas pipe-to-head bolt to 10N·m (89 in lb).

7. Install the throttle cable, cruise cable, and vacuum line in clamps.
8. Install the wiring harness clamp rosebud to degas pipe bracket.



9. Install the head degas hose into the UHFB clamps.



10. Connect negative battery cable.

Tighten
Tighten the battery terminal bolts 17 N·m(13  ft  lb)

Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose Replacement L81

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the coolant. Refer to Draining Coolant .
3. Remove the head degas hose to the surge tank clamp and remove the hose from the surge tank.



4. Remove the head degas hose from the underhood fuse block (UHFB) clamps.



5. Remove the hose from the harness clamp.
6. Remove the wiring harness from the clamp.
7. Remove the wiring harness bracket to the intake manifold bolt.
8. Disconnect the fuel injector inline connector.
9. Remove the head degas hose to head degas pipe clamp.
10. Remove the head degas hose.

1. Install and position the head degas hose to head degas pipe.
2. Install and position the head degas hose to surge tank fitting.



3. Install the head degas hose to surge tank clamp at the 1 o'clock position.
4. Install the head degas hose to the head degas pipe clamp at the 2 o'clock position.



5. Install the head degas hose into the underhood fuse block (UHFB) clamps.
6. Connect the fuel injector inline connector.
7. Install the wiring harness bracket to the intake manifold bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the intake manifold bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

8. Install the wiring harness into the harness clamp.
9. Install the head degas hose into the clamp.



10. Connect the negative battery cable.

Tighten
Tighten the battery terminal bolts to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).

11. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Coolant Replacement .
12. Use fresh water to rinse away any coolant that was spilled during the service.

Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose Replacement Radiator - L81

1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Draining Coolant .



2. Remove the cooling fan relay module from the battery bracket and place beside the battery.
3. Remove the radiator degas hose to surge tank clamp and remove the hose from the surge tank.



4. Remove the left headlight upper bolts.



5. Remove the degas hose from the plastic clip at the rail.
6. Gently pull the headlight assembly forward and pull the radiator degas hose between the headlight assembly and the crossmember.



7. Remove the radiator degas hose to the radiator clamp.
8. Remove the radiator degas hose from the radiator fitting and remove.

1. Install the radiator degas hose to radiator fitting.



2. Gently pull the headlight assembly forward and insert the radiator degas hose between the headlight assembly and the forward rail.
3. Install the degas hose into the plastic clip at the rail.



4. Position the radiator degas hose between the washer fluid neck and fender rail.
5. Install the radiator degas hose to the surge tank fitting. Install the radiator degas hose to the surge tank clamp at the 12 o'clock position.



6. Install the left headlamp assembly bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the left headlamp assembly bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

7. Install the radiator degas hose to the radiator clamp at the 1 o'clock position.



8. Install the cooling fan relay module on the battery bracket.
9. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Coolant Replacement .
10. Use fresh water to rinse away any coolant that was spilled during the service.
