Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 897651 Size: SH
  1. Remove the air pipe nut, if equipped.
  2. Remove the air pipe bolts, if equipped.
  3. Remove the air pipe, if equipped.
  4. Remove the air pipe gasket, if equipped.

    5. Object Number: 895182 Size: SH
  5. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.

    6. Object Number: 898894 Size: SH
  6. Remove the engine block heater, if equipped.
  7. Remove the heated oxygen sensor.
  8. Remove the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head retaining nuts.
  9. Remove the exhaust manifold.
  10. Clean all sealing surfaces.
  11. If the exhaust manifold is being replaced, transfer the following parts:
    12. • The exhaust manifold heat shield
    • The heated oxygen sensor
  12. Replace the exhaust manifold nuts.
