Removal Procedure

    Important: After removing brake pipe nuts, do not excessively pull or bend brake pipes away from master cylinder.

    Important: Plug open brake pipes to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

  1. Remove the brake pipes from the manifold valve.

  2. Object Number: 891720  Size: SH
  3. Remove the manifold valve-to-bracket attachment bolt.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Position the manifold valve in the vehicle and install the attachment bolt.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the manifold valve-to-vehicle bolt to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  3. Install the brake pipes-to-manifold valve.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the brake pipes-to-manifold valve to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  5. Fill the brake fluid reservoir with clean brake fluid up to the MAX mark on reservoir.
  6. Bleed the brakes. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding .
