Tools Required

1. Remove battery from vehicle. Refer to Battery Removal Procedure
2. Remove Underhood Fuse Block (UHFB). Refer to UHFB Removal Procedure



3. Remove battery tray.



4. Install Engine Support Fixture SA9150BR and J43450 Engine Support Fixture Adapter. (L61 engine)



5. Install engine support fixture SA9150E (or equivalent) and J43450 (or equivalent). (L81 engine)



6. Remove transaxle mount to bracket bolts.



7. Remove transaxle mount to body fasteners.
8. Remove transaxle mount from vehicle.



9. On vehicles with automatic transaxle and L81 engines, remove power steering lines from transaxle mount bracket.




Important: The automatic and manual transaxle mount brackets are different. The following two steps show each.

10. Remove transaxle mount bracket to transaxle fasteners.

Remove bracket from transaxle mount.

Install bracket onto transaxle mount and tighten.

Tighten
Tighten Left Transaxle Mount Bracket-to-Transaxle Mount Bolt to: 60 N·m (44 lb ft)

Important: The automatic and manual transaxle mount brackets are different. The following two steps show each.

1. Install transaxle mount bracket to transaxle.

Tighten
Tighten Left Transaxle Mount Bracket-to-Transaxle Bolts (Automatic) to: 90 N·m (66 lb ft)




2. On vehicles with automatic transaxle and L81 engines, connect power steering lines to transaxle mount bracket.

Tighten
Tighten Power Steering Lines-to-Transaxle Mount Bracket to: 10 N·m (89 lb in)




3. Install transaxle mount into vehicle and install mount to body bolts.

Tighten
Tighten Left Transaxle Mount-to-Body Bolts to: 20 N·m (15 lb ft)




4. Install transaxle mount to bracket bolts.

Tighten
Tighten Left Transaxle Mount-to-Transaxle Bracket Bolts to: 55 N·m (41 lb ft)

5. Remove engine support fixture.



6. Install battery tray.

Tighten
Tighten Battery Tray Bolts to: 15 N·m (11 lb ft)

7. Install Underhood Fuse Block (UHFB). Refer to UHFB Installation Procedurer
8. Install battery into vehicle. Refer to Battery Installation Procedure
