Front floor bucket seats are equipped with headrest restraints which are adjustable and can be released by the 2 tabs located at the base of the headrest restraint. Base and mid-level models offer 2-way adjustment. Up-level models offer 4-way adjustment.
Base models offer 2-way manual seat forward/backward adjustment as well as a manual recliner on both the driver and passenger side. The seat forward/backward adjustment is operated by a towelbar control located under the front of the seat cushion. The recliner is operated by a lever located on the lower outboard side of the front seat back.
Mid-level and up-level models offer 4-way manual seat adjustment on driver side and 2-way manual adjustment on passenger side as well as a manual recliner on the driver and passenger side. The 4-way adjustment offers the towelbar control for forward/backward adjustment as well as a height adjuster lever located on the outer side panel. To operate the height adjuster, ratchet upward on the lever to raise the seat cushion and ratchet downward on the lever to lower the seat cushion. The recliner is operated by the same style of lever as on the base model vehicles.
Up-level models offer a manual lumbar support actuated by a lever on the outboard side of the seat back.
Optional on mid-level and up-level models is a power operated driver seat. The power operated drivers seat option offers 4-way seat cushion adjustment (up/down, fore/aft) and a power actuated seat back recliner. The system is operated by a fore/aft motor, a seat riser (up/down) motor and a power recliner motor. The seat adjustments are made using control switches located in the outer side panel. It is not possible to operate more than one motor at a time while adjusting the seat. The forward/backward motor is not serviceable separately and must be replaced by replacing the drivers seat adjuster.
The heated seat system utilizes 2 control switches, one for the driver seat and one for the passenger seat. Each heated seat switch consists of a rotary thumb wheel that has 3 detente positions. The detente positions are OFF, LO, and HI. The switches are snap-in fit type switches and are mounted in the center of the instrument panel trim plate. The driver side heated seat switch is on the left and is grouped together in a switch housing with the fog lamp switch. The passenger side heated seat switch is on the right and is grouped together in a switch housing with the traction control switch.
The heated seats feature can only be used when the ignition is in RUN. When the heated seat switch is in the LO position, the seatback and cushion will be warmed to approximate body temperature. When the heated seat switch is in the HI position, the seat back and bottom cushion will be heated to a slightly higher temperature. When the heated seat switch is in the OFF position, the seat will not be heated. An indicator light on the switch reminds you that the heating system is in use.
The power seat switch contains 3 switches to adjust the recliner, the head rest, and the bottom cushion height. The power seat adjuster switch is a 2-way (forward/backward) adjustment switch.
The power driver seat control switch is located on the left side of the seat cushion. With this control, the driver seat cushion can be moved up, down, forward, and rearward. The seat back portion of the seat can also be reclined or straight up. When a side of the up/down switch is pressed, the entire seat is accordingly raised or lowered. When the switch is moved forward or rearward, the seat is accordingly moved forward or rearward. When a side of the recline switch is pressed, the rear portion of the seat cushion is accordingly raised or reclined.
All vehicles have rear seat backs that fold forward via a latch lever located at the top of the rear seat back. The latch lever is actuated by pulling upward on the lever. The sedan rear seat backs can fold individually. The station wagon passenger rear seat can fold individually. When the station wagon driver side rear seat back is folded forward, the passenger side seat back also folds forward.
The sedan offers a valet lock system that locks the rear seat back. The lock is actuated by a lever located on the rear seat back panel and can be accessed from the trunk. Moving the knob will lock and unlock the valet lock system.
Some vehicles offer a rear center arm rest. The arm rest is lowered by pulling downward from the top of the arm rest. The arm rest offers integral cup holders.
