Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 896609 Size: SH
  1. Lower the passenger side rear seat back assembly.
  2. Lower the driver side rear seat back assembly, but do not let the passenger side seat back latch engage with the driver side.
  3. Remove the fastener plugs and the access hole plug.

    4. Object Number: 896762 Size: SH
  4. Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, disconnect the latch hook from the connecting rod.

    5. Object Number: 896784 Size: SH
  5. Remove the rear seat beam fasteners.
  6. Remove the seat back beam.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 896784 Size: SH
  1. Position the seat back beam over the seat back.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the rear seat back beam fasteners.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the rear folding seat back beam fasteners to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  3. Using long nose pliers, snap the latch hook into the connecting rod.

    4. Object Number: 896609 Size: SH
  4. Install the fastener plugs and the access hole plug.
  5. Lift the seat backs and inspect for proper seat back latch function.
