Routing the Longer Tuned Power Steering Hose Per TSB 03-02-32-045 - kw pressure moan groan noise 2.2 L61 install tune

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Technicians ask how to route the longer tuned power steering hose per TSB 03-02-32-045.

The tuned hose is longer than the stock hose. The hose is routed with a large upward bend routed rearward from the pump, down in front of the bulkhead to the steering gear. This routing will position the hose between the master cylinder and heater hoses. Tighten the steering gear end of the hose with the fitting in a position that would not allow the hose to ground out and create noise. Tighten the pump end while holding the hose in a position which would keep it centered between the master cylinder and the heater hoses. Room is present so the hose will not rub/contact nearby components.
